Charlotte and the Quiet Place

Sara Woolley is an award-winning illustrator and visual artist living and working in the hustle and bustle of Brooklyn, NY. Her work has twice been recognized by the New York Society of Illustrators, the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles, and most recently by 3×3: The Magazine of Contemporary Illustration. Her creator-owned graphic novel, Los Pirineos: The Mostly True Memoirs of Esperancita Gómez, was singled out for award by the National Association of Latino Arts and Culture. 

Sara currently teaches illustration at the Academy of Art University, where she earned her MFA. She is deeply pleased to create a book whose illustrations are inspired by the kids and characters in the neighborhood of Bushwick, where she lives, works, and searches for her quiet place.
